Job Purpose

To provide knowledge management, research expertise, and capacity building to ensure interventions across QF are evidence-based and aligned to corporate strategy. To facilitate the coordination of advisory services to showcase the impact of QF interventions and elevate our profile within the country, region and internationally.

Key Result Areas

  • Provide subject matter expertise on QF thematic areas (progressive education, sustainability, artificial intelligence, precision health, social progress) improving knowledge transfer, value-add, and information management flows between internal Strategy and Impact Directorate (SID) units, QF entities, and business partners.
  • Develop and execute knowledge management strategy working to create information systems and maximize those we currently have to a coordinated information and communications effort across the department and beyond. Introduce new approaches to compiling, managing and disseminating data.
  • Curate and disseminate technical materials for diverse audiences working with a cross-section of stakeholders to amplify the work of the organization and support business functions in carrying out impact-driven efforts that build stakeholder awareness and engagement within QF, Qatar, the region and among international audiences.
  • Provide substantive support to the unit and department by conducting research to support QF entities in enhancing program design and delivery efforts through dissemination of population-level data, identification of best practices, lessons learned, literature reviews and case studies.
  • Analyze complex data, conduct critical analysis and consolidate findings with key recommendations that can be applied to current and future interventions/efforts relating to the realization of our strategic plan. Synthesize trends from evaluations conducted by SID and entities and generate key findings.
  • Stay abreast of national studies and population research to help inform QF’s strategic initiatives and research-driven interventions; contribute to impact studies driven by the SID department.
  • Collect and analyze data systematically and establish linkages with accountability, learning and knowledge management to inform evidence-based programming decisions.
  • Liaise with M&E experts to interpret data, contextualize it, and prepare various written outputs. Provide guidance and work within a team to produce regular and ad-hoc performance reports and other deliverables, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Support in liaison with research institutes, universities and other entities in addition to the broader SID team to ensure effective, efficient and seamless coordination to achieve results in program effectiveness.
  • Conduct research to help the department in building theories of change and log-frames to ensure an evidence-based approach to program design, strategy development and evaluation work across the department.
  • Conduct research, evaluate and benchmark with international best practices to stay informed of trends, best practices in social impact, as well as uncover and lead improvement opportunities.
  • Identify priority knowledge products to be created in relation to capturing and leveraging lessons learned across thematic area strategic programs and projects.
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a social sciences, statistics, or relevant field & 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience
  • Seasoned research background in the field of human development and social sciences, statistical analysis/applied statistics essential
  • Extensive experience in knowledge management, monitoring, evaluation and learning, results-based management, and portfolio performance assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of research methods, databases, and statistical programmes.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with seasoned ability to interpret data, draw conclusions and produce accessible recommendations, reports/studies for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to convey complex/difficult data topics and critical insights in a compelling and relatable manner.
  • Proficiency in applying and/or analysing quantitative and qualitative.
  • Strong coordination skills, with the ability to work across channels with multiple stakeholders and achieve results consistently.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
