About the job
- Ensure consistent service quality and improve the productivity of the IT system.
- Perform preventive maintenance and control of the company’s IT assets.
- Guarantee optimal and widespread use of the company’s IT resources on a daily basis.
- Supervise servers and IT rooms, including management and administration.
- Identify service quality factors, define performance analysis tools, and develop management methods and rules for the entire IT infrastructure.
- Study, recommend, and supervise the implementation of computer equipment and software.
- Monitor the performance of implemented systems, ensure incident or anomaly resolution (diagnosis and resolution) by managing interventions.
- Decide on procedures to ensure the continuity of operations (disaster recovery and continuity plans).
- Ensure good economic management of IT resources and have an overview of the equipment and communication systems used by the company.
- Maintain a permanent technological watch on products and software in the IT field.
- Define and implement projects to extend or modify the IT infrastructure.
- Ensure implementation and migration of Network and System in IT projects.
- Configure the hardware to be integrated into the network.
- Provide assistance to users related to client workstation problems
- Prevent anomalies and malfunctions related to client workstation.
- Advise, assist, and train users.
- Definition of equipment and computer hardware requirements.
- Implementation of IT resources and their maintenance.
- Balance management of existing resources, user requirements and technology evolution.
- Procurement of computer equipment.
- Installation and management of IT devices (desktop computers, printers, scanners, and software).
- Set up all necessary elements for protecting the company’s data.
- Analyze malfunctions and areas for improvement of security systems.
- Define and evolve security measures and standards, in line with the company’s activity and exposure to IT risks.
- Choose the most appropriate technical devices for the company’s requirements (firewall, backup programs, encryption, authentication…).
- Implement suitable security methods and tools and support their implementation for users.
- Repair damages caused to the IT system in case of intrusion or virus contamination, analyze the causes, and strengthen security measures.
- Conduct security system audits, often with the help of service providers.
- Regularly test the effectiveness of security measures in place to detect weaknesses and deficiencies.
- Establish the security repository, keep it up to date, disseminate it, and ensure compliance with it.
- Communicate about major risks or damage caused by an attack on the IT system.
- Keep up with technological developments, especially in protection, to ensure system security.
- Raise awareness among all company employees about security issues.
- Propose necessary updates to maintain the best possible security level.
- Identify new risks to the information system’s security, such as new viruses or global network attacks.
- Define the general security policy.
- Supervise and reinforce electronic security systems such as video surveillance, access and anti-intrusion controls.
- Ensure implementation of security measures in IT projects.
Requirements
Minimum, Bachelor degree + Academic background: Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, System Analysis, Engineering or other similar areas
Professional experience and knowledge:
- Strong Knowledge regarding Business processes
- Knowledge of IT Industrial solutions
- Knowledge on infrastructure hardware, network & server (Windows and/or SQL) systems management. Hands- on experience is an advantage
- Awareness on computerized systems validation
- Have experience and/or knowledge on ERP (SAP is preferred) and other Pharma industry related applications (Lims, MES)
- Strong Service / Customer mindset
- Strong project management skills in order to lead strategic projects and meetings
- Process improvement & Innovation mindset
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- More than 5 years of experience in IT, management experience is a plus
