Job summary

The Identity and Access Management consultant is responsible for account life cycle management and auditing as appropriate. The Identity and Access Management consultant participates in the development/enhancement of workflows, system configuration, documentation, optimization, and support related to access, while working with application teams to deploy new applications and functionality. The IAM consultant effectively communicates department and organization wide policies and procedures impacting Identity and Access management to end users, leadership, and peers to ensure compliant practices. The IAM consultant is responsible for the on-going maintenance, testing, support, optimization of IAM and IAG tool. The IAM consultant works independently, holds team and organization level responsibilities, and leads small to medium scale projects.

Experience level: 8-10 years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain user account life cycle management, including creating, provisioning, securing, and inactivation of access.
  • Support and maintain identity Governance, RBAC using IAM tool.
  • Ensure standard processes and established SOPs are followed when rolling out new provisioning and role management.
  • Monitor and maintain IAM infrastructure health.
  • Ensure all evidence of all kinds of authorization is documented and archived according to internal standards.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between access rights assigned and access rights required for users to perform job duties.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between user identities and user anchor system.
  • Troubleshooting issues with IAM, IAG tools and processes.
  • Troubleshoot security and workflow issues independently or in collaboration with other Information Systems teams and/or stakeholders.
  • Enforce organizational policies and procedures to ensure only authorized personnel have access to information in
  • compliance with the Minimum Necessary Rules.
  • Participate in ongoing auditing and risk assessments, and implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation on standard operating procedures, system configurations, and technical.
  • settings for internal team use, end user support, and other teams as needed.
  • Generate reports associated with IAM based requirement.
  • Support for Microsoft O365 mailbox related issue (mailbox life cycle management)
  • Conduct thorough operational assessments, ensuring compliance with IAM-related policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate regular IAM operational reviews, providing actionable insights to enhance efficiency and security.
  • Champion the implementation of IAM-related incident response and resolution procedures. Commitment to training and developing local Qatari talent and junior team members, fostering upskilling initiatives to contribute effectively to IAM operations.

Technical Expertise

  • Specializing in IAM tool such as SailPoint (preferably) , Microsoft identity and access management, SAP IAG, etc.
  • Directory service such as Active directory, AAD.
  • Proficient in IAM protocols and standards, including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Advanced knowledge of IAM-related technologies, such as role-based access control (RBAC), PBAC, ABAC and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Familiar with different authentication methods.
  • knowledge of cloud platform.
  • Expertise in IAM integration with enterprise applications, directories
  • Utilize programming skills in .NET, Python, PowerShell, jQuery, REST API and SQL for scripting, automation, and addressing operational challenges.
  • Serve as the IAM primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and addressing operational concerns promptly.

Preferred Education and work Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology.
  • 5-8 years relevant work experience and software experience: Active Directory, Microsoft O365, IAM tool such as SailPoint, Microsoft FIM, and SAP IAG.
  • Certifications in IAM tool, such as SailPoint, Microsoft IAM products
  • Prior experience in telecommunications, particularly in IAM operations.
  • Familiarity with cloud based IAM operations and emerging IAM technologies.
  • Leadership skills focused on collaborative and results driven IAM operations.
