Description

We are looking for a talented Data Warehouse Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Warehouse Developer at EPAM Systems, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data warehousing solutions that enable efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of large volumes of data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage your expertise in data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and SQL programming to create robust and scalable data warehouse architectures for a prestigious international client based in Qatar.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and analytics requirements
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and data engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models. Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading into the data warehouse

Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval and analysis
Perform data profiling, quality assurance, and data cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and integrity of the data
Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse performance issues, identifying and implementing appropriate optimizations
Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data in the data warehouse
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data warehousing and business intelligence

Requirements

3 years of experience as a Data Warehouse Developer
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes
Proficiency in SQL programming and experience with database technologies
Hands-on experience with an ETL tool. Still waiting for the customer to confirm the tools/technologies required for this role
Familiarity with data integration techniques, data quality assessment, and data validation
Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data-related issues
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively onsite

Nice to have

Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake)
Knowledge of data governance and data management practices
Familiarity with data integration and data virtualization technologies
Certification in data warehousing or business intelligence (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, IBM Certified Data Engineer)

Additional

You will be working on site, from our client’s office in Doha
The working schedule is 5 days a week, from Sunday to Thursday (In Qatar, weekend is Friday to Saturday)
Formal business attire is required
