Job Purpose:
As a DC System Operations Engineer, you will be carrying out the day to day operational activities on all application systems to support business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Carry out day to day operations of Data Centre Operations activities on a shift basis.
- Carry out Core Banking Application Finastra-Equation EOD, process, Monitoring and take appropriate actions in case of errors.
- Carry out Application TSYS-Prime Operation and EOD processes.
- Carry out data processing activities on all application systems to support business.
- Carry out tasks as per daily checklist and SOP.
- Respond to user queries as relating to the state of various systems in Data Centre Operations.
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc reports (and their email equivalent) for distribution.
- Notify NOC to log incidents in case of issues.
- Escalation of issues to application support team for quick resolution.
- Monitor daily backups and take action in case of failures.
- Perform manual server restarts as per schedule timeframe.
- Carry out Adhoc activities such as Equation Library backup/Entire System backup and IPL (Initial program load) of IBM P9 machine
- Health check of all the equipment’s at Data Centers on frequently basis

Required Qualifications:
- Degree/ Diploma in Computer Applications or equivalent professional experience.
- Work Experience with ISeries/Power Series System
- Advanced System Operator Course Certification.
Required Experience:
- 8 to 9 years (or above) relevant experience
- Strong Knowledge and Hand on experience in AS/400 (IBM i) Operations and administrations.
- Experience in AS/400 (IBM i) IBM P9 Hardware Maintenance and configurations.
- Core Banking Application Finastra-Equation understanding of EOD process.
- Experience in Monitoring and troubleshooting MIMIX Data replication.
- Experience in TSYS-Prime Operation and EOD processes.
- Experience in Helpsystems-Robot software with Robot/SCHEDULE, Robot/ALERT, Robot/REPLAY, Robot/REPORTS and Robot/CONSOLE plug-ins.
- Experience in BRMS (Backup Recovery Management System) Operations and administrations.
